AI RESPONSIBLE USE POLICY

Effective Date: April 16th 2026

Purpose

This AI Responsible Use Policy applies to customers' use of services offered by Switchboard Cloud that incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI). The terms of this policy are in addition to Switchboard terms https://www.switchboardcloud.com/terms.

Updates to This Policy

Switchboard endeavors to ensure that AI-generated outputs are identifiable. Customers must not attempt to remove or obscure any digital watermarks or labels that identify content as AI-generated.

Switchboard may update this policy as our AI capabilities evolve or regulations change. Material changes will be communicated to customers via:

  • Email notification to account administrators
  • Updates posted on our website

Continued use of our service after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Unacceptable Use

Customers must not use Switchboard's AI-powered service(s) to:

  • Inflict fraud, malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Process documents or data they do not have legal authority to process
  • Extract data for unlawful purposes or in violation of third-party rights
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, probe, or exploit our AI systems
  • Exploit security vulnerabilities or circumvent security or access controls
  • Make automated decisions with legal effects. Final decisions should be made by a human being with other factors taking into account beyond any recommendations provided by the AI service.
  • Explicitly predict, or categorise based on an individual's protected characteristics, including, but not limited to, racial or ethnic origin, and past, current, or future political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, age, gender, sex life, sexual orientation, disability, health status, medical condition, financial status, criminal convictions, or likelihood to engage in criminal acts.
  • Use AI for child exploitation or abuse, weapons development, political campaigns, adult content or deceptive activity.

A customer's violations of this policy will be considered a material breach of the Master Service Agreement (https://www.switchboardcloud.com/services-agreement) and may result in service suspension and contract termination.
